Ok, obviously this thread is getting kind of long and complicated and its branching out discussions all over the place, while this is all good and dandy, the effort to determine what the hell is messy.

I'm going to start another thread ONLY for those who post saying when they started using VCK and report if they have been banned or not, so far I've seen only me and two others but I'm sure there are quite a lot of people out there who would want to do this but aren't because it will get lost in this giant thread. Re-posting your usage would be fantastic.

I'm tired of people still thinking that VCK is bannable. Its time to crush this myth once and for all.
Once we have a thread full of people saying when they used vck and for how long without being banned we can declare VCK not banned by battle.net and we'd have the proof for it all organized and such. Then I can unsticky this thread, the new thread I just made, and remove the warnings from the download page and we can get all this "VCK is banned" business behind is

I would like to notify everyone that we have reached the important milestone of 10 members playing for 2 months without ban.
I (and anyone) can safely conclude that VCK is safe to use and is not bannable on battle.net for custom games.

You can go ahead and tell people that VCK is not banned.

Please resume using VCK if you have stopped for fear of being banned.
