I already wrote a newsletter concerning this topic:

Quote
Dear Visual Custom Kick users,

Blizzard have finally taken the unfortunate step to flag and ban users of Visual Custom Kick. If am deeply afflicted with the fact, that some of your have already been banned.
Please make sure to stop using Visual Custom Kick on Battle.Net from now on until the situation has been clarified.

 Regards,
Listing - Lead developer of Visual Custom Kick

I will keep you informed about everything I get to know and new projects. In the future I might release a "light" undetectable version of Visual Custom Kick which only provides the kick ability. But Blizzard made clear that they don't want VCK to interfear with their game.

I will add more warnings to the download page and the forums.

Edit:
Make sure to also check http://visualcustomkick.com/forums/index.php?topic=890.0

Yes of course, but if Blizzard decides that they don't want to have VCK there is nothing we can do about it. Yes I could add anti-detection and such things but that would result in an endless war in which many users would be banned  Sad

Isn't there a way to ask Blizzard what part of VCK they don't like since they are banning it?
Like for example they dont like the AutoRefreash cause its straining their servers to much. (Don't even know if it's doing it, just an suggestion of why)

Must have an valid reason for doing it, can't just do it cause 40 people sent an mail and whining they got kicked from a game.
Cause if they are just doing it on a hunch they must surely ban WC3Banlist and LC aswell. Third Party Programs all 3.

Must be a reason!

Well this is just some things I think it is.

No, I know how Blizzard think. They don't want ANY third party applicaation for Warcraft III. They want to ban everything that modifies the game experience, I don't think they would be willing to compromise.

Thats so lame, Latency Reducer HELPS others, since the host doesnt get delay, but the other players do unless theirs latency reducer. Plus whats wrong with kicking unwanted players if their ruining other players' gaming experience? Idk why blizzard started taking action now, after all this time.

Because of all GHost++ bots, didn't you notice how they influenced the atmosphere on Battlenet?
Unfortunately they thought enabling Warden on Battle.NET would remove those bots. What is left is that the Bots have a working bypass and other third party apps are banned like maphacks and VCK.

Does this ban extend to games played in the 'Custom Game' section?

Im actively following the official Battlenet and Blizzard forums and i still didnt come across any definitive word on the matter.
Some people probably misinterpret the meaning of blizzard employees posts. I read through all of them and none of them explicitely says that Vck gets you flagged or banned. Im still hosting every day (with vck and banlist) and im still not banned.

Could you provide the link to that statement?

Blizzard is kind of vague in post #4 but I can confidently say that VCK is on the list of applications that are not allowed.

Yes, definitely. The guy has his CD-key banned because of using banlist and vck Angry

Being said that, do you guys know how Ghost++ is affected? Afaik it is still capable of bypassing Warden and can't get banned by Blizzard.

I was already assuming that you would point to that thread, but as i and you pointed out, theres no definitive answer, its just too vague.
Hes even pointing out that "but we've seen some unit revealing/maphacks being associated with quite a few of these bans so it tends to go a bit deeper", which implies what i said many times already: the people being banned are not entirely truthfull about what programs they used.

I for myself wont believe that Blizzard is actually stupid enough to contradict themselves by stating that they want a fair game but then suspend people for creating a fair environment, thus failing their goal. If anyone really believes that the default delay setting of 250ms is fair towards anyone but the host is either retarded or they have plans to implement additional settings, such as lowering the default ms in the warcraft 3 options (which they sadly dont).

I wont believe it until im banned myself.

You are indeed brave, can we trust you in not using ANYTHING but banlist and VCK? I have finals and dont have too much time to play DOTA so I'll lay low and won't use VCK when I do play until I can get a definitive answer that someone did get banned because of banlist/vck and not because of some hack they were running and chose not to tell anyone about.

I really don't want to move to garena to host my games, but it looks like that is where all the games with low latency (NOT default 250) will be hosted.

A controlled situation would help more than having another tool interfere. If you only used VCK we would be able to tell if VCK can get you banned. If you use BL+VCK, it could be either one of those tools.
